In Three Stories & Ten Poems, Ernest Hemingway presents one of his earliest published collections, revealing the emerging voice and artistic vision that would define his remarkable career. The three stories—including “Up in Michigan,” “Out of Season,” and “My Old Man”—demonstrate his growing mastery of understatement, realism, and emotional depth, while the accompanying poems reveal his experimentation with rhythm, imagery, and poetic expression.
