Submission Process

Where to Send

Send your manuscript as an email attachment to submissions@casacarlini.com with the subject line:
New Submission: [Title of Work]

What to Include

In your email, include:

  • A brief cover letter (maximum 300 words) introducing yourself and your writing background
  • A synopsis of your manuscript (maximum 500 words)
  • A book proposal outlining the concept, themes, target audience, comparable titles, and why your book belongs with Casa Carlini
  • Your manuscript as a single attachment in one of the following formats: .txt, .rtf, .pdf, .doc, .docx, or .odt, formatted in Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced (where applicable)

Eligibility

We welcome submissions across genres and cultural perspectives. While we remain open to emerging voices, priority is given to authors with a demonstrated record of serious writing or publication.

Length and Format

  • Poetry: 3–5 poems (maximum 10 pages total)
  • Short stories/essays: 1,500–8,000 words
  • Novels: First three chapters or up to 30 pages
  • Nonfiction: 5,000–60,000 words, written in clear, engaging prose with a strong point of view

What We’re Looking For

We seek work that combines strong voice with substance.

  • Voice and Style: Distinctive, engaging, and confident writing
  • Themes: Social, cultural, historical, or personal subjects with depth and relevance
  • Perspective: Diverse viewpoints and original insights that expand the conversation

Originality and Exclusivity

We accept original, unpublished work only. Please note:

  • We do not accept simultaneous submissions
  • If your work has been previously published or is under consideration elsewhere, disclose this in your cover letter

Response Time

We aim to respond within 4–6 weeks. If you have not heard from us after six weeks, you may follow up.

Compensation

At this time, Casa Carlini does not offer advances. Accepted authors benefit from professional publication, global distribution, and inclusion in a growing literary catalog.

Rights and Ownership

Publishing terms are negotiated individually. We respect authors’ creative ownership and aim to establish fair, transparent partnerships.

Distribution

Casa Carlini titles are distributed globally through Ingram, PublishDrive, and Amazon, reaching bookstores, libraries, and digital platforms worldwide. This ensures availability across Barnes & Noble, independent bookstores, major library systems, and leading digital retailers including Apple Books, Google Play, and Kobo.

  • Due to volume, we are unable to provide detailed feedback on declined submissions
  • If your manuscript is accepted elsewhere during review, notify us promptly
