Ancient Egypt. A forbidden resurrection. A mystery that reaches beyond the grave.

When young lawyer Malcolm Ross is drawn into the mysterious case of Margaret Trelawny and her father, a celebrated Egyptologist obsessed with an ancient queen, he finds himself surrounded by strange artifacts, cryptic inscriptions, and unexplained events. First published in 1903, The Jewel of Seven Stars blends Gothic horror, archaeological intrigue, and supernatural suspense as Bram Stoker explores the dangers of scientific ambition, the limits of human knowledge, and the unsettling possibility that the dead may not remain buried.

Readers will discover:

  • A chilling Egyptian mystery: An ancient queen's tomb conceals secrets that challenge the boundaries of life and death.
  • Victorian fascination with Egypt: The novel reflects an era captivated by archaeological discoveries and the mysteries of ancient civilizations.
  • Science versus the supernatural: Rational inquiry struggles to explain events that defy conventional understanding.
  • An atmosphere of mounting dread: Strange occurrences, hidden motives, and ominous discoveries create sustained suspense.
