The mad knight. The loyal squire. The greatest adventure ever told.

In Miguel de Cervantes’ immortal masterpiece, Alonso Quixano, a gentleman obsessed with chivalric romances, loses his mind and declares himself Don Quixote de la Mancha, a knight-errant sworn to defend the helpless and right all wrongs. Accompanied by his pragmatic squire Sancho Panza, he sets out on a series of misadventures across the Spanish countryside—tilting at windmills he believes are giants, battling sheep he mistakes for armies, and seeking glory in a world that has left chivalry behind.

Blending uproarious comedy, profound wisdom, biting satire, and deep humanity, Don Quixote follows its idealistic hero and earthy companion through a dazzling panorama of Spanish society. Part adventure story, part philosophical meditation, it explores the eternal tension between dreams and reality, illusion and truth, and the power of stories to shape our lives.

Widely regarded as the first modern novel and one of the greatest works of literature ever written, Don Quixote continues to delight, move, and inspire readers more than four centuries after its publication.
