Casa Carlini is a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Casa Carlini must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
How fiscal sponsorship works
Through fiscal sponsorship, Fractured Atlas accepts donations and grants on behalf of Casa Carlini, holds those funds in a restricted fund, and then makes grants to our project to support our eligible activities. The funds are used at the discretion of Fractured Atlas for the charitable purposes of the project, in line with their policies and oversight.
In practical terms, this means:
- You receive a charitable contribution receipt from Fractured Atlas.
- Fractured Atlas administers the funds and issues grants to Casa Carlini to support our literary and cultural publishing work.
- We remain focused on making and sustaining books, while Fractured Atlas provides the nonprofit infrastructure to process your gift.
