Administrative & Publishing Intern
Location: Fully Remote (based in NYC)
Duration: 10–12 weeks (Summer/Fall 2026, flexible to align with academic calendar)

Casa Carlini is a fiscally sponsored, mission-driven independent publisher through Fractured Atlas, based in New York City, dedicated to amplifying literature through digital innovation. Help keep our creative engine running! We’re seeking a detail-oriented Administrative & Publishing Intern to assist in managing our team, coordinating projects, and supporting daily operations across our editorial, design, and marketing departments.
This unpaid educational internship follows U.S. Department of Labor FLSA guidelines, prioritizing your learning as the primary beneficiary with hands-on publishing experience tied to your formal education (academic credit required).
Coordinate team communication, scheduling, and project documentation via Trello and Google Workspace.
Track progress across multiple book publishing projects—supporting editorial, production, and marketing workflows.
Assist with administrative operations: vendor organization, file management, and meeting preparation.
Contribute to email outreach, social scheduling, and site updates related to new titles and campaigns.
Receive training on publishing project lifecycles—from manuscript to launch—through close mentorship by our founder.
Enrolled in publishing, business management, communications, or related academic program; must be able to receive academic credit.
Excellent organizational and communication skills; proactive, attentive to detail, and tech-comfortable.
Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Trello, and WordPress preferred (training provided).
Passion for literature, creative collaboration, and independent publishing.
Reliable time management for remote teamwork via Zoom and shared platforms.
Hands-on publishing management experience in an independent press environment.
Structured mentorship and workflow insight bridging editorial and operations.
Credit-eligible internship with potential school stipends (e.g., Barnard BBIP, CUNY Magner).
Free Casa Carlini titles, professional reference upon completion, and portfolio acknowledgment on casacarlini.com.
No paid role entitlement post-internship.
